Mai Takahashi is a Japanese artist, picture book designer.

 

Mai seeks to incorporate Japanese traditional art techniques into modern art techniques. She uses base paint mixed with seashell powder, bamboo charcoal, wood powder, sand, and other natural materials for some artworks. Her artistic works are inspired by nature and animals as she grew up in the beautiful countryside in Japan.
